Mission
To provide hyperlocal weather data to Pasacao, filling the gap where PAGASA data may not be 100% accurate at the local level.
What is PWARDS?
Pasacao Weather Atmospheric & Real-Time Data System – a community‑driven weather monitoring initiative based in Pasacao, Camarines Sur.
System Structure
AWST vs PWST
AWST (Automated Weather Station) uses commercial off‑the‑shelf sensors; accuracy may vary.
PWST (Pasacao/PWARDS Weather Station) is custom‑built, DIY, and designed for assured accuracy.
Naming Convention
Stations are named PWST<location> (e.g., PWSTDN for Del Norte, located in Sta. Rosa Del Norte). Backup stations append B (e.g., PWSTDNB).
Current Stations
- PWSTDN – Del Norte Node (Sta. Rosa Del Norte) active (under check)
- PWSTDNB – Backup Del Norte Node temporarily down
- AWSTDN – Main Automated Node active – feeding data to Windy.com & PWARDS dashboard
- PWSTC – [Location TBD] in development
- PWSTDS – [Location TBD] in development
Data from active stations is transferred to Windy.com and the official PWARDS dashboard.
Purpose
To provide accurate weather data for:
- Residents of Pasacao

- Local DRRM (Disaster Risk Reduction and Management)
- PAGASA (for local validation)
